Having the same issue with Showtime on the Roku channel. Has Roku provided a solution yet?
Hi @McNubbins182,
Thanks for reaching out to the Roku community!
We'd like to gather more information about the issue you're running into.
Are all other streaming channels playing content normally? Does this happen on all movies/shows in Showtime through The Roku Channel or just specific titles? What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far to try to resolve the issue? Can you please provide the serial number/device ID on your Roku device? Any additional information that we can look at?
With more information, we will be able to assist you further.
Best regards,
Mary
Hi, yes all other channels are streaming normal with surround like Netflix, HBO max, etc. Only the Roku channel is where I see this issue notably with Showtime as that is the only Roku channel content that I’m currently streaming. It is all content on the Roku Showtime channel I’ve tried several movies and shows and they are all missing surround sound. Additionally in dark scenes the stream gets severely pixelated. I’ve tried restarting the Roku.

Thanks for the post.
Can you please clarify the issue you are experiencing? Have you tried changing the audio settings to see if that helps the issue you are seeing?
With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
No surround sound audio track on Roku Channel Showtime. Yes I have tried to correct through the audio settings. All Roku Channel Showtime programs indicate only default audio track available which is apparently 2 channel stereo. I am not having this issue with any other channels other than Roku Channel.
No 5.1 on the Showtime app on Roku. No answers from Roku support. Just requests for more information. WTF Roku. Solve the problem or answer the question don't just ask for more information
Roku doesn’t make the Showtime channel. So it’s not a Roku issue
This is not an issue with the Showtime app. I’ve subscribed to that in the past and no issues. This is with the Showtime channel in the Roku app which is different and yes it would be a Roku issue with the interface to Showtime.
@McNubbins182 sorry to burst your bubble. Roku does not develop the Showtime channel. Nor do they develop the Netflix, Hulu, Disney, YouTube or HBO channels . Just like Apple does not make the Facebook app for iPhone. Meta does. So the issue isn’t with Roku. Notice who the developer is
Your missing the point…I’m not in a contract with Showtime directly to provide the service. I’m paying the Roku Channel to provide Showtime. Just like you wouldn’t contact Showtime directly for an issue via Comcast cable. Ya get me?
BTW I’m no longer in a contract with either as I’ve cancelled due to this issue.
