Go to settings-system-power-system restart and that will restart everything with the search button back 🙂

Hi Danny- I am having the same problem as Bev-343 but new to the community so I’m not sure how to private message- do I need to “friend” you first? Thanks!

No all you need to do is a system restart and the search option should return.

We would recommend checking for a manual update on your Roku device to see if that resolves the issue you are experiencing.

Instructions to manually update your software:
1. Navigate to Settings
2. Select System
3. Select System update
4. Select Check now

If this issue is not resolved, please provide the following information that would be helpful for our team in further investigating this problem:

-When did this issue first start occurring
-Roku device model
-serial number
-device ID
-software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)

-What are you seeing on screen? Can you provide a screenshot of the issue you are experiencing?
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing
