Rules of engagement leaving soon? I binge watch and now you want me to pay for it?

Jump to solution

So, I binge watch rules of engagement cause it says it's leaving December 31st for one day.

I come back in the Roku channel and find that all the episodes are being made to pay for after it was on for free for over a year.

Real **bleep**ing classy Roku.

I'm going back to amazon fire stick for that sorry assed move.

Greedy. Plain and simple.

@Jimmygomez, content comes and goes on The Roku Channel as rights are acquired and lost.  That's the nature of streaming.  Once rights are lost it will suggest where you can watch a program.  If there was a free option then it would have been offered, but apparently there isn't.  It seems odd that you'd get a notice that something is leaving December 31st now, so I'd have to assume that message was in error and probably should have said September 30th.

I just wanted to stop in and say thanks for the email explaining the licensing issues.

Netflix pulled a show I was watching for the same reason (they explained it thru chat and I should have realized that was the deal.

Sorry about the harsh comment and thanks for clarifying for me.
