When I leave my Roku in a pause mode to allow me to come back where I left off, after about ten minutes when I hit the Play or OK button, it starts to load apps that I have not requested. If I'm not quick, it loads the app before I realize it, but if I do notice it quickly I hit cancel and it stops. But then I have to go back to the original program I was watching starting over again from the home page. It's pretty annoying. Is this a new Roku feature to try to get us to load apps that we don't normally watch? The problem is not unique to just one Roku, as I've had this happen on at least two of them.
You can either stop using those buttons to exit the screen saver (since they mean go to the advertised channel). OR you can switch to one of the screen savers without ads. For example the two Roku clock screensavers have no ads and then you can press whatever button you like.

You can also extend the time period before the screen saver starts up in the first place. Settings > Theme > Screensaver wait time
Thanks for the quick responses. It's fixed.
