My Roku will not open or load any apps I keep getting playback error and Netflix keeps retrying. All my software is already up to date. So what is causing this?
When reporting problems it's always a good idea to report your Roku model and model number as shown via Settings > System > About. Often the answers you seek depend on your Roku model and if we have this information to start with, you can get targeted suggestions more quickly.
What is the full text of any error message(s) you receive?
Can you do a successful network check (Roku path Settings > Network > Check connection)? After it completes, what Internet Download Speed does it show on the Settings > Network page?
I ended up throwing it away and bought a streaming stick instead. I don’t have time to spend hours trying to fix stuff and with no customer service to call, it was very frustrating: thanks for your reply though!
