I have two roku devices. I have tried to watch shows on the Roku Channel on both devices, but it keeps buffering. We have reset the roku device, reset the network, tried different networks, checked for updates to both the device and channel. It says everything is updated. It still keeps buffering. I can watch Roku channel on my phone without trouble. I am using the Roku Premiere's. What needed to be done so this will work through the devices?
Does the issue only occur on The Roku Channel or across other channels installed on your Roku device?
If you haven't tried yet, you can remove the affected channel then re-install it. To ensure the process is successful, make sure to restart your device before adding the channel back in. We would recommend doing this from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > System restart > Restart.
I have noticed this as well starting yesterday on both My Roku TV and today on my Roku Premier. This is ONLY on the Roku Channel and I am using Live TV on the Roku Channel. My Connection is Excellent and I have even switched Wifi Networks and it is the same.
The Connection is Excellent and the speed is 39bps.
Google Wifi Speed test is 589MBps down 25 up.
I have rest the device and still have the same issue.
Also, It doesn't actually say it's buffering on the Premier screen, it just goes black for a few seconds then comes back on.
I'm not even seeing an Ad-block, it just goes instantly to an all-black screen and lasts for 13.65 seconds then the show resumes.. Come to think of it I am not seeing any commercials so maybe you are correct that it is supposed to be an ad-block.
