Roku and Computer screen

Please forgive me if this question appears daft but I need to know before I purchase Roku Express.

I have an old TV 32inch 720 and only HD ready.

Will Roku work on this and

Whilst watching a programme on TV screen can I still use my computer to do other things or is my PC screen the same as TV screen

I assume your TV is really a TV and not just a computer monitor?  If so, the computer doesn't come into it.  You only need the TV.  Yes, a Roku will work on a 720p-only TV assuming it's not so old that it doesn't support HDCP (copy protection).

Your TV will need to have an HDMI input available for the Roku to connect to it. If it only has component (3 RCA jacks) for video input, that won't work.
