Roku 2 (4210) certain apps crashing

My Roku 2 4210 keeps crashing with Disney Plus, BBC iPlayer and a few others.

It is fully updated and I have reset it all.

I have tried with a SD card installed, but when it crashes it seems to corrupt the card and Roku wouldn't reboot untill it is removed.

It uses wired LAN connection.

Any ideas?

Re: Roku 2 (4210) certain apps crashing

It's possible those apps are getting too big or using features your ancient Roku does not support. The 4210 was released in April 2015. It is low on system memory (used by the CPU) compared to newer models.

Thanks - I did wonder, which is why I flung a SD card in - but that didn't help.

I would update if I could be sure of a wired LAN adapter - but that is another post I am about to make/check

PS - I should have said - apps seem fine straight after a reboot - it is second runs that they fail on.
