ONLY on the ROKU Channel the picture keeps freezing about every 20-30 seconds, but the audio keeps playing. If I hit the BACK button (not the rewind) and then choose "Resume", the movie will start back playing for another 20-30 seconds. Then the video freezes up again.
This doesn't happen on NETFLIX or DISNEY PLUS. Just on movies on the ROKU Channel.
Mine too, has been going on for a few months now. Not as often as yours, but every once in a while it will just lock on an image and I need to exit the channel to get it going again.

Kindly remove the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote, and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.

My Philips Roku tv started doing this freezing thing with the picture where it plays and then pauses for a few seconds. It does it in every channel and even on the home page. I have reset the tv twice, unplugged it, and even factory reset it, and it is still doing it. You can still hear the sound, but the picture like stops while it plays the sound. What else can be done?
Mine is screwed up also does the same thing tried everything that they have told me to do and it still doesn't work, SO MUCH FOR OWNING A ROKU TV, The joke is on us my friends

Nope it was a no go
It was not the Roku channel that was freezing every couple seconds on mine. It was the screen itself on the Roku tv. It is not fixable. The tv apparently was messing up due to the new update that occurred. I ended up getting a brand new tv bc I got tired of dealing with something not fixable, and nothing to help fix the issue with Roku.
This same issue constantly happens to me, BUT I'm using a Windows 10 PC with nothing else open or running. I never saw any issues resolved and all issues seemed to involve a TV and not a PC. was there ever a solution that would apply to me?

Mine began freezing today on roku channel but only on 2 certain commercials, dove and google. I have a roku tv. It has happened only on the roku channel and only with those 2 commercials. If i back button and restart the program restarts normally.
