Problem with YouTube

YouTube app was working fine last night and then today I'm having issues with it. I believe my roku did an update and now youtube app will not load. If I click on it it will lock up the screen and not load at all. Ill have to restart. It almost looks like it just won't make the jump to the next screen.

I have uninstalled the app and restarted my roku like I've read others have done but with no luck. Is anyone else having issues today? Is there a solution? I'm not going to reset my roku because I have the spectrum app and if I do a factory reset I'll lose that. I just want to resolve this issue. Is there an update or something that I can do?

Try:

1)  Network connection reset (Settings/System/Advanced system settings)

2)  Change the theme to the Roku Default theme (Settings/Theme/Restore default theme)

3)  Change the screensaver to a Roku clock (Settings/Theme/Screensavers)

4)  Check for updates (Settings/System/System update/Check now)

I'll attempt the update.  I started having the same issue two days ago.  Despite Roku assuring YouTube TV users that currently have the channel it would not be removed, two days ago I started receiving an error message that both YouTubeTV and YouTube channels could not connect to the network.  Thanks a bunch Roku.

I have the same issue but oddly enough it is only happening on one particular Roku device. Two other devices load YouTube and YouTube tv no problem.

None of these fixes are working. Last night I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and was able to finally load YouTube and it seemed to be fixed. I thought it was all good

However this evening it is doing the same thing as before and I'm also getting a message that says can't connect to server as well. None of this happened until yesterday when it updated. I'm very upset about this because I watch alot of YouTube on my tv and even though I don't pay for YouTube when compared to other apps I probably spend more time on it than anything else. I don't want to have to go buy a whole new roku device since like I said I'll lose certain apps. I'm just frustrated with it and frankly I don't understand why roku doesn't fix this because it's obviously an issue with lots of people.

You should report it directly to Roku:

chat or email:  https://support.roku.com/contactus/contact-options  (choose setup/ultra/other/need more help?)

You should also message @RokuDanny-R  @RokuMary-F  and @RokuKariza-D  with the details of your Roku (Model #/Serial #/ID/account email/country/list apps that wont load)

The device in my daugher's room started doing this today as well. We did everything mentioned above too. My only thought is maybe it is related to the YouTube TV thing as well. All other channels like Netflix and Hulu are working fine.

YouTube and YouTube tv won't load.  All other channels ok.  This started happening yesterday 5/20/21.  This is unacceptable.  Might need to look into Firestick.

Same here...5/21 my Roku Express just shows YouTube TV loading and then nothing....this just started this AM...been loading and working fine until now.

Over and over...not loading?  Been working fine as an existing user.

I can now load YouTube and then go to YouTube TV in that menu...lower left, all the way to the bottom of menu and load YouTube TV!!
