I have 3 different Roku devices - 2 have the Roku app with version: 9.4.0 build 4210 with last update of 05/09/2021 and one has the same version but its last update was 03/09/2021
The app on my older Roku Express works perfectly fine. The most recent apps run normally except now when viewing a YouTube video, I can no longer view the video information (title of video, YouTube channel name, when video was posted, number of views) while the video is running. The info used to be viewable, but no longer is. That info still works fine on my older Roku Express, just not on the Roku devices with the most recent version of the app.
It's obviously an issue with the most recent version of the app.
I hope you can try to correct this problem with your next update.

You havent provided any actual YT app versions (external or internal) - you've only provided the firmware (RokuOS, not an app) version for your devices.
Did you remove, RESTART and add the YT app as i described?
Hi @Doc610,
Thanks for sharing the details here.
For more information about that channel's features and functionality, you'll want to contact the channel provider support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.
You can reach them here: https://support.google.com/youtube/?hl=en#topic=9257498
Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.
Many thanks,
Mary

You dont mention your Roku model #s, just the names (there are lots of different models with the same names).
Also, just as an FYI, those are the RokuOS firmware versions - not the YT app versions.
YT/YTTV (and other) apps (platform/external) versions can be seen by highlighting the app, and pressing the Options (*) button.
YT/YTTV have different external/platform versions/builds for different models as well.
YT/YTTV also have an internal/UI version separate from the platform/external versions.
Because of the different platform versions in combination with UI versions, the overall functionality/behavior of the app may be different for different Roku models.
You might want to check the actual app versions (external and internal) and compare them between your devices.
If you havent already removed the YT app, RESTARTED your Roku, then reinstalled the YT app (in that exact) order, you should.
Ultimately, Google is responsible for the YT/YTTV apps as previously explained, so you'd want to give that specific information to them
I did contact YouTube previously and have not heard back from them. What made me shift my opinion of where the fault lies is when I noticed that on ALL my Roku devices (working and non working) that they all are running the same version of the YouTube app, but the only difference between working and non working devices was the current version of the ROKU app.

To StreamerUser:
The YT version on all devices is: web_20210505_10_RC02
I tried removing, then reinstalling the apps and . . . IT FIXED THE PROBLEM!
That was surprising to me because YT has updated their app MANY times over the past few years that I've been using it, and it never required me to go through that process before. But live and learn, I'll use this method in the future if I ever have an odd issue with an app again. THANKS!!!

Thats the internal/UI version (the external/platform version is different for the YT/YTTV apps)
App removal/restart/re-add is the #1 solution for app-specific problems on Roku, along with just restarting the Roku - and yes, you should use that for any problematic app/app problem in the future (and they will happen). It doesnt fix every app or every app problem, but it fixes many things.
You're welcome, and you can always pay-it-forward to someone else you know with a Roku app issue (friends/relatives).
