Fast-Forward to the End
If the "Remove" option is unavailable, an effective workaround is to fast-forward the movie or TV show to the end:
Go to the last episode of the last season and then fast forward to end
Apparently the only thing that works but a real pain especially if you watch a sporting event and don't finish it. Fast forwarding works but you have to sit there and wait for commercials to play before it lets you complete. Stupid. How about keeping Manage Series active all the time to delete stuff.
And here's a good one. I've had 2 items "stuck" on My Stuff/Sports since July with no way to delete them including running it out because there's no way to play them. I can delete them (seemingly) from the phone app but they disappear and then come back again. Contacted Hulu twice to report the crazy glitches in their programming and after lengthy sessions, only got vague promises to look into it and that they were high on the list of investigations. Right!
I've contacted Roku and Prime video regarding the inability to remove titles from the continue watching list that use to be accomplished with the star function on the Roku remote. Prime directed me back to Roku saying the star function was removed by Roku. Roku and Prime blame each other. The Prime video rep. directed me to this link. It is very annoying and time consuming to remove continue watching titles as instructed. This needs to be addressed and fixed to continue having happy customers. Very Irritated!!!
I tried removing videos from Prime using the suggested fix and it did not work.
Hi, @orangespice. Welcome to the Roku Community!
We understand that you would like to remove a tile from the Continue Watching list on your Prime Video, and we're here to assist you.
Here’s how you can help with this issue.
In addition, if you are using the Prime Video standalone app, you might consider highlighting the title you wish to modify in the "Continue Watching" section. After that, please press the star (*) button and choose either "Hide this movie" or "Hide this season." This will help manage your viewing preferences.
We'll wait for your update!
Thanks,
Roku Community Team
Unfortunately this did not work. Roku reps have tried many different steps to try and rectify this issue to no avail. Been on the phone most of the day escalating the problem but have come to the conclusion that PRIME is the problem. Prime blames Roku. Roku blames Prime. Primes new updates seem to be the issue. I will contact Prime again...UGH!! Roku at least took the time to try fixing it. Prime only passes the blame.
Thank you for your reply, @orangespice!
We greatly appreciate your cooperation and the time you’ve spent troubleshooting the issue with your Prime app. Since this is a specific case related to Prime apps, we strongly recommend that you reach out to their customer support team for further assistance and clarification.
Please be advised that the majority of content on the Roku platform comes from streaming channels maintained and updated independently by the channel's provider.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best,
Roku Community Team
All these steps have been performed. None of them work.
I appreciate you for keeping us posted, @orangespice
As advised by @RokuJharra-Q in this thread, it is recommended to reach out to Prime Video's support directly and inquire further about the issue.
It is important to note that the "Continue Watching" section of Prime Video is one of the app's features, and this is directly managed by the channel providers who developed the app.
To contact them, you can refer to Prime Video | Help
I hope this will be sorted out soon, and let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks,
The Roku Community Team.
