Peacock stopped working on Roku OS 10.5

Jump to solution

Peacock updated to version 3.12 build 13 a few days ago on 12/12/2022. Since then, the Peacock app won't open. I'm on a Roku Ultra OS 10.5. I used to be on 11.0, but RokuDanny-R downgraded me to 10.5 to fix the HDCP issues.

@TVSmartz

Thanks for the post.

The most likely reason you are experiencing a channel issue is that the OS that you are running doesn't support the latest version of the Peacock channel.

Thanks,
Danny

@RokuDanny-R My OS was downgraded to 10.5 by Roku to fix HDCP issues on 11.0. Now my device won't update anymore. How do I get my device to update to 11.5? Thanks.

I have been having the same problem. The video freezes after a couple seconds but audio continues. I am on 11.5.0 version. I have checked for updates on the app. Everything is updated. Any help? I have a brand new Roku 4+.

Hi @richardsonm

Thank you for the inquiry!

Does the issue only occur on the Peacock or across other channels installed on your Roku device?

Have you tried removing the affected Peacock and then re-install it again? If not, we suggest starting there. In some cases, removing the affected channel and then re-installing it may help. Restart your device before re-adding the channel back in to ensure the process is successful. We recommend doing this through the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power (If there is no Power submenu, proceed to the next step.) > System restart.

For detailed instructions, refer to this Support link for more information: How to resolve a channel playback issue | Official Roku Support.

Let us know if there's any difference after.

Warm Regards,
Lianna
