Paramount plus playback black screen

I have been watching Paramount plus all afternoon and then the screen goes black. I still have stills and sound, other channels play. And it's on my other ruku device as well. I thought the TV was going bad. I checked for updates, unplugged.  When I go to Paramount it freezes all video. I have to unplug device and I have screen back and can watch Netflix, prime, Hulu. But Paramount will freeze it again. Sound and black screen. Can see menu to choose, shows, no actual video will play. Thoughts?@paramount+ @ruku

Re: Paramount plus playback black screen

Hi @Grnn,

Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!

We recommend starting here to troubleshoot channel issues: Follow these steps in order:
1. Navigate to the channel tile on the Roku home screen, press the * key on your remote, and choose 'Remove channel'.
2. Next, restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. (For Roku TV Settings>System>Power>System restart)
3. Once your player/TV starts up again, go to 'Streaming Channels' on the Home screen, and add the channel back once more.

Please try doing this and see if it helps with what you're experiencing.

Thanks Mary...I've done that. Still doesn't work. Done it several times. Next suggestion. Even swapped out HD cords already.

@Grnn

Thanks for the post.

If the issue remains unresolved, I'd recommend reaching out to Paramount+ directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the Paramount+ channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.

Thanks,
Danny
