Onn/Roku TV not working on Youtube channel even though Icon is on screen won't open
We know about the contact dispute with YouTube but having a Onn/Roku TV for over 1 year we thought we had read we would continue to receive the Youtube channel. If this is the case how can this be corrected? We still have the YouTube icon on our Roku TV but will not open.
Outside of that is there a work around for our Roku TV to receive YouTube channel for our TV's
The standard Youtube Channel is still available and working on Roku devices/RokuTV. Try doing a manual system update. (Settings..System..System Update [Check Now] press OK). This will update both system and any installed channels.
Otherwise, try Removing Youtube, then System Restart (restart RokuTV), then Reinstall Youtube.
Finally, try restarting both your router and your RokuTV.
Sometimes, a Channel just is experiencing issues and will fail to launch on a particular device. Normally just have to wait for it to be fixed by the Channel developer. (in this case, Youtube), and try again later.
In the alternative, you can always launch Youtube on a mobile device/tablet and cast it your RokuTV, or open Youtube in a web browser on a laptop and connect a HDMI cable to your TV.

There used to exist two seperate Channels/apps. Youtube and then Youtube TV. Due to a contract dispute, Youtube TV is no longer available in the Channel Store. You have to access Youtube TV through Youtube as you indicated. (lower left corner).
