@patricka02 Oh... I thought you meant that big arrow; however, using the rewind and forward buttons you mention don't work for me either. Only thing that works is pulling out the HDML cord. Takes two seconds so I'll put up with it... for now. I doubt there will be any fix. My main streaming channel is YouTubeTV.
My 4k Streaming Stick has been freezing for 2 months after ads. Also when rewinding live tv the audio plays but the video freezes and I have to close the channel and start again. So rewind of live TV does not work as well.
Chat support told me it's a channel partner issue but that is clearly wrong. I have two other older Roku Devices that work fine and it occurs on multiple channels that have ads.
Model 3820x
X01700DFG8XS
11.5.0 build 4312-CU
Thanks
Note to readers of this thread: This same issue has been reported for 2.5 months on two other threads as well. Still awaiting a solution on these two other threads as well.

I get the feeling that nobody reads any of the previous posts here. There was a software update that went out on 12/14 and 12/15. Check your units to see if you got the update. If not, do the update and then see if the problem persists.
My guess is Roku sucks at communication. I suspect that they fixed the problem.
Hi Snakeoil,
Thanks for your posting. I admit that I missed your comment about the SW update fixing things. Your reminder was helpful. I'm very glad your unit works well now.
I have the Roku 3820X - Streaming Stick 4k. I just checked for FW updates. No luck -- still at 11.5.0 version 4235. I manually asked for an update but it came back that my FW version is up to date.
Your posting says you have 3 units that updated. What models do you have?
All 3 of mine are Express 4K. My guess is each model requires different software. Yours may be forthcoming.
Thanks for the fast reply Snakeoil. I expect you are correct. Once Roku has FW which fixes the bug in one product, it makes sense that they would need to create and test updated FW for every product that has the bug. This doesn't happen in zero time. In fact, they may even decide to give the early FW receivers a little run time before releasing fixes for every product.
As long as you have fixed FW, I'm fine giving Roku time to finalize the fix for my model.
Well, I can't swear the the problem is fixed for my units. I will say that I have not had a screen freeze in well over a week. Only time will tell. Fingers crossed.
Somebody wrote very recently that Roku has decided that this issue is a channel issue and not a Roku issue. That tells me they intend on doing nothing from here on out. If it was a channel issue, I’d have problems on all my streaming devices not just this one particular Roku.
I have been following this thread since it was only 17 pages long. Do not remember anyone saying that Roku thought it was a channel problem. What was mentioned was Roku was asking if it happened on a particular channel and I believe that was in reference to Roku TV.
My 3 are still freeze free. I did have to set up the remotes again as they were not responding properly. Could be the new software update required that the remotes get set up again.
