I’m having the same issue as well. Factory reset only worked for a short time, then back to frozen screen. Roku is worthless right now.

For what it's worth, after I started using the Roku power brick instead of the USB port on the TV, things got much better. I'm not sure how better because I don't watch that TV much. It definitely helped though.

I have a feeling the last firmware changed something in the power utilization in the thingamabob.

I have a half a dozen Express 4K+ and they all have frozen video at various times since the system update.  I found a workaround for now is to manually change the video display off automatic. Sometimes have to switch back and forth between 720 and 1080

Nah, we've been posting issues only to be told by Mary and Donny that they're reporting it to the technicians.  This past update has caused countless issues that keep growing.  Roku developers, for future reference.. If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Here's a followup on the video freezing but audio continuing.

It appears to affect two different Roku Express 4K+ units we have.

It DOES affect this Roku Express 4K+

A few things I notice is the Express 4K+ units don't show the bouncing logo on startup any longer. The logo appears, then the screen flashes blue a couple of times before the home screen appears.

This morning the Express 4K+ units video streams are freezing after about 10 seconds with the audio continuing on the following channels that I checked:

Real America's Voice v 1.2 build 1 

FrankSpeech v 2.0 build 1 

Changing the Roku Display Type from Auto to 720p and resetting the power on the Roku (using the menu) seems to help for a while, but the next day the problem usually returns.

My 3941RW is on OS 11.5.0 build 4235-cr. I'm also having the issue with the video freezing but the audio continues to play. It is a real pain in Hulu.

This happens in the Hulu app on CNN and FX channels.

The issue is very reliable on CNN. When I'm watching the channel and an advertisement starts it freezes the video but the audio continues. If I change to another channel and go back to CNN the video returns. There are no error messages and the tracker ID attempt never works.

I just noticed another detail. The screen slightly darkens when the video freeze happens. This time it happened going from a commercial back to CNN's broadcast.
