It's not clear in my paper work that comes with the roku what the warranty time is on the product. I bought this roku less than a year ago. But I can tell you that no issues have occurred with it. It is on the side of the tv where it is in the open and can't over heat. Nothing has happened to it that would cause it to start malfunctioning. The only possibility would be the recent update that took place last week. I am also having similar issues with one I bought a couple of weeks ago and installed. Not a coincidence! I mostly watch tv on my roku and this is upsetting! I have strongly promoted your product but am now reluctant. I hope this is rectified quickly and properly. And notified!

This problem is occurring for us. Info:

For us, the issue only occurs on DirecTV Stream.
The problem started occuring right after a software update on 10/25.
Is it possible to roll back the update?
Another symptom: Before this started happening, when we turned the
Roku on, the Roku logo would show up and bounce around about 8 times
before it got to the home screen, maybe after 20 seconds. But after
the issue started, the startup animation only lasted a short time,
sometimes less than 1 second. Don't know if this is related.

Repro steps: nothing really, just select the DirecTV Stream app and try to watch something

On this tv, I’ve noticed on xfinity app watching Fox News and on Fox News app. Haven’t really checked other channels. On my other tv, I’ve noticed on same channels as well as food network thru xfinity. I will send those details shortly.
Sent results from one tv. Here is the other.
This was xfinity app/food network channel. Didn’t freeze while on food network app as of this moment. It has frozen in Fox News app.
I have had this same issue since last week on only one of my 6 Roku devices which is the 3941X Roku Express 4K+ on multiple apps (DIRECTV, Plex, ESPN). I tried many things and only the Factory Reset seemed to clear the issue but it returned a few days later. Replacing remote batteries did not fix issue. my Roku started displaying an HDMI cable error on the TV and when I took the HDMI cable out and reinserted it stopped the video from freezing and will provide an updated post tomorrow to advise if it lasts
Here's the info on both of my devices that it is happening on. I only got the report tracker on one. It is happening on Directtv Stream app all of the time, and all other apps it will do that after pausing,ff,or rewinding.
The only thing that works for me is a factory reset. Once I do that it's fine with Peacock or other Apps. Once I open the Spectrum App and then go back to Peacock or any other App, that's when the video freezes, but the audio continues. Super annoying to have to factory restart every day. My device is new (Express 4K+) - just set it up about less than 2 weeks ago. Old device (Express) still works fine with no problems.
