I have a Roku 3, but don't see "Power" anywhere under the System menu. Am I missing something? I tried System restart but it did nothing to correct the problem. My software updated today to version 10.5.0 build 4174-04.
This didn't work for me but thanks for the suggestion. Been having issues since 9/18. Very frustrating. Like some one else said been thinking about cord cutting but now I doubt it. Have tried everything multiple times
Yes, the same thing happeded to me. We have a Roku 3 and yesterday, 10/6/21 it started with the "Can't Run Channel" error on any channel we tried to load. I tried everything (removing the micro SD card, restarting, changing the theme, etc.) and nothing foxes the problem. We have build 10.5.0 version 4174-04, and it said that it just updated yesterday, so I'm wondering if the newest software version is the cause. Agree that it's very frustrating. Anyone know how to contact Roku and actually speak to someone?

Hi,
The steps outlined above did not fix my problem. My Roku applied an updated yesterday (October 6th) and after that I can't run any channel. Here are the details of my Roku device
Model: 4200X - Roku 3
Serial Number: 1GN38J000825
Software Version: 10.5.0 - Build 4174-04
Please let me know of the best way to resolve this.
This updated got applied to my Roku device and now I can't playback any channel.. its throws - 'Can't run channel' errors. This is really concerning.
This also happened to me. Update happened at 7:44am PST. No channel will launch. Just pops up "Loading" spinner then eventually times out and tells me to check my network connection. Did that, and it checks out fine (I never changed anything recently).
I tried a manual reset, no dice. Also tried a manual software update and it just sits with the "Checking for new software" spinner indefinitely.
UPDATE: I unplugged and re-plugged the power to the Roku, then was able to run software update, and all is working fine now.
The recommended fix/steps don’t do anything for my Roku 3 either.
The connection is good but no apps I’ve tried work - some go to a black screen, most give the “check network connection" error message. But I have checked the connection, tried restarting, and tried doing a manual update and restarting.
