Well, today I have a very unpleasant surprise. I can no longer access YouTube with my Roku so-called smart TV. I was reading on how to fix this and discovered that it was due to a disagreement between Roku and Google. I don’t know why it’s always the customer who ends up paying and getting less service. The fact that I can no longer access YouTube with Roku defeats the purpose of me having a Roku TV. I am extremely pissed and will NEVER get a Roku tv again.. Not worth it if they pick stupid fights like this, and we lose key channels as a result. I am so upset.
Sorry Roku to pile on publicly but I couldn't find a way to scold you privately.
No access to YouTube TV... I had the same discovery today upon installing my new Roku Soundbar. YouTube TV was the whole reason I bought it. Taking away services is a good formula for losing loyal customers. Thanks Roku.
As noted in other threads, you can access YouTube TV through the regular YouTube app. It's in the YouTube menu on the left, near the bottom.
My YouTube app did not work at all this morning. After fumbling around for quite some time and doing some updates, I got it to work again, but I fear this will keep happening given that as per others' posts, even once the issue seems fixed, it keeps on happening and happening again. This is very frustrating and unfriendly for us customers, and it really greatly diminishes my Roku experience quite a lot. If someone were to ask me if they recommend a Roku smart TV right now, I would answer "no."
Can't believe after moving to Roku and Streaming I'm now left with no access. Woke up today and my primary app YouTubeTV would not work. Tried a dozen times. Decided to delete the app and reload. What a mistake cause now I see that Roku and Google are in having a hissy fit and customers no longer matter. My paid subscription no longer works because Roku won't allow me to down load it. My other 4 TVs are all working but my home office is not so guess I have to find a new streaming provider and leave Roku and YouTube both. Great job!!!!!
No I cannot access. YouTube is still showing but won't work. YouTube TV didn't work so I tried to delete and reload app and now see that Roku is not allowing paid customers to down load so I'm stuck. Will give it one day and if no solution found will cancel both and start over. What a pain and terrible customer service

You can access YT TV through the regular YT app - click on "YouTube TV" in the menu on the lower left.
Known solutions/workarounds for YT app not loading:
1) Change your Theme to the Roku Default (Settings/Theme/Restore default theme) - try again
2) Change your Screensaver to a Roku clock (Settings/Theme/Screensavers) - try again
3) Check for updates (Settings/System/System updates/Check now) - try again
4) Remove YT app, RESTART ROKU (Settings/System/System restart) <<-- MUST DO THIS HERE, Add YT app - try again
5) Network connection reset (Settings/System/Advanced system settings) - try again
6) Completely unplug power from Roku for 10-15 minutes - try again
7) Factory reset (Settings/System/Advanced system settings) <--- last resort
I'm watching YouTube right now on my Ultra 4800. No problems. Yes, YouTube TV is still listed in the menu, but I don't subscribe so can't say how it actually works.

YouTube works fine. Do you actually mean YouTube TV instead? Because that's a different app. Although you can access YouTube TV through the YouTube app.
Oh, and why are you suggesting that Roku picked the fight, and not Google? Do you have some insight on the dispute?

My main reason for using Roku was YouTube, now it's gone because of some disagreement! What are we paying for if we can't have a say in these things? I'll be switching from Roku.
