Agree. Took other suggestions to try XUMO and PLUTO to watch Newsmax and has worked great till yesterday. Now all three have the same issue, which tells us it must be a Newsmax thing being it's the only channel with issues. I agree Roku doesn't respond to our issues and it is very frustrating.
Thanks for reaching out. If you are seeing an issue with a channel (app) provider's service, you'll want to reach out directly to report the issue and request their assistance with their channel, if other channels are working correctly. You can get in touch Newsmax support here for more help: https://www.newsmax.com/contact/customerservicecontact/
We do help pass along feedback from customers to channel providers. However, unfortunately we do not develop, manage, or maintain their channel, content or content delivery systems. A channel provider will need to address this type of issue directly in order to resolve a potential problem with their content. If their service feed is encountering issues across multiple sources, it's likely there is an issue that they'll need to take a look at.
As an alternate option to watch in the meantime, you can also access Newsmax inside 'The Roku Channel' as another source for this service. It is available under the 'News, Sports, and Entertainment' row inside the channel. https://channelstore.roku.com/details/151908/the-roku-channel
I'll be sure to share any further updates that I hear.
Thanks,
Tanner
I have tried all of your options. I cannot get newsmax live on pluto or on the newsmax app. It stars with picture and sound and friezes with in 2-3 seconds. If I leave it on for a while it pops in and out and friezes again. On occasion, rarely, I will get full full video but no audio. Seems to be the only channel affected.
What about Newsmax on the The Roku Channel? Isn't it the same thing?
We're with you. Now Roku - no matter what channel - keeps reloading and we're about to say the "heck" with it. Plus lips again don't match the words being spoken.
Again issues with Newsmax - on it's channel, on Pluto and on Xuma. It freezes and no sound. Getting sick and tired of it and ready to leave Newsmax.
My experience is that is freezes on one TV with a Roku Premier (3920) but works just fine on another TV with a Roku Express (3930).
Thanks for the note.
Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.
Does this clear up the issue you are seeing?
Thanks,
Danny
