I've been having same problem so I emailed the Webmaster of Newsmax and requested that they please fix Roku app.   Waiting for a reply or that they fix their app. I hope this helps.

Same happens here. I find if I wait, the feed will resume with no sound, I found that pausing and resuming will sometimes bring back the stream with sound. But often the audio is out of sync.   Sometimes it resumes as normal. Yes,a pain but still better than other news channels.

I started bringing up Newsmax inside of SLING instead of as a Roku channel.  Works great. So I assume this has something to do with Roku.

I been having same problem NewsMax Tv starts then freezes up same on Pluto TV. I found Xumo and NewsMax tv works great on that station.

Can’t get it here in SC either (Censored?) ... found it on YouTube, it sucks not having the app work in ROKU.

Some told me to watch Newsmax on Xumo and it does work for me.  Shouldn't be this difficult though.

I not sure Roku is aggressive enough about this issue. Newsmax app loads and begins normally through Roku. The sound drops a few seconds into the presentation. No sound. I go through Pluto (on Roku). Same result.

I’ve reported the problem to Roku several times using the options comment. No response.

I have no problem receiving the Newsmax broadcast through my iPhone app.  ... which is receiving its video/sound through the same Internet service provider - Sudden Link.

I switched to Roku, but with it’s issues popping up concerning Reuter’s, Fox and now Newsmax, I’m beginning to wonder if I made the right choice.
