Captioning is not working on the Roku Channel or Britbox, and maybe others. It seems okay on Prime, and earlier it worked on Acorn. This also happened last week, but then it came back without my doing anything. Why does this happen?
I am familiar with the caption settings for Roku and the individual channels.

Please be aware that you might need to start by making sure that closed captioning is set on in your Roku account. To achieve this, go to "Settings," then "Accessibility," and select "Captions mode." Make sure "On" is chosen. Restart your Roku device as well. It's always a good idea to restart your Roku.

Disconnecting my Roku 3 from the power and reconnecting it worked! Thanks.
The last time captioning vanished, it came back spontaneously the next day without my disconnecting the device. *Shrug*
