This problem has existed FOREVER. I don't understand why this hasn't been addressed by NBC yet. It sounds like all of the high frequencies are boosted (for example, a hand rubbing a piece of paper or like you said the "s" sound). I am a professional sound man in TV/Film for a living so this drives me NUTS!
