Missing Channels Brazil (Roku Streaming Stick+)

Hello all. Hope is all well.

How to add Amazon Prime, HBOMAX, HBOGO, also local important ones such as GloboNews, GloboPlay, etc. to my Roku Streaming Stick+ ?

They don't even appear as an option to add.

I already reset the stick to factory, no results (only Netflix from relevant ones is available).

Important: they are available by Roku Brazilian sold appliances, so there isn't no geographic issue.

Other brands already offer tv sticks with those contents, also.

Thanks in advanced.

Re: Missing Channels Brazil (Roku Streaming Stick+)

I browsed the Brazil channel store and found one of the channels you mentioned:

https://channelstore.roku.com/pt-br/details/2e16295e9b763ca18394efca77002f35/globoplay

I didn't see the others.  Being able to buy a device in a country and being to watch certain content within that country are two different things.  Each channel/app on Roku is an independent entity that has to work out deals for licensing content in various countries as well as doing platform and possibly advertising deals for various countries and devices.  Letting HBO know that you want to view their content on Roku in Brazil would be a good starting place.

Re: Missing Channels Brazil (Roku Streaming Stick+)

Thanks, Strega.

GloboPlay (a Brazilian omni media platform) appears through your link, but not at the Stick Panel, or even at the browser - and even via your link, the "add" option isn't available, just the description.

As I said, Roku sell tv appliances legal and regularly here in Brazil with all mentioned apps available - so isn't a geographic issue.

Thanks again for you prompt answer.

Fábio.

@FabioFilizola

Thanks for the post.

It sounds like you may have created a Roku account that isn't located in your current region. If channels in your region are not available, it may indicate that your device is linked to an account that was created in a different region where that channel may not be offered by the channel provider. You'll want to make sure that you are using an internet connection located in the correct region when creating your account. You can check your IP address' reported location by visiting www.whatismyip.com - If you see an issue, you'll need to contact your ISP to help resolve any issue.

We would recommend creating a new Roku account in your region. For more information about how to create a new account, visit our Support page here: How do I create a Roku® account? Once your new account is set up, try to perform a factory reset on your device and link it to your new account.
