I have cell service with ATT and they offer a free Max subscription. I am able to view Max on all my devices except the Roku. When I open the Max app on the Roku I see three options, one of them is to sign in through a provider. I selected that option and then a QR code pops up on the screen and it tells me to scan the QR code. I scan the QR code on my iphone and it takes me to a Max sign in screen on my phone. I don't want to watch on my phone I want to watch the Max app on my television through the Roku app. Why does it direct me to sign in on the phone? Does anyone know what is going on? I have updated the Roku, unplugged it, deleted Max and added it again. I don't know what else to do.... Any advice?
Hi @DiscoQueen,
Greetings from the Roku Community!
We're glad to assist you with your inquiry. Please be advised that you'll need to follow the instructions on the screen to complete your streaming experience with Max. You'll eventually stream it on your TV once you are done with the setup. For more details, we suggest contacting Max's customer support team to further assist you since the channel developers themselves maintain channels on Roku.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help you.
Best regards,
Eunice
So, if I get Newsmax on my Direct TV monthly subscription, can I not watch it on Roku anymore since there is now Newsmax + that you have to pay for?
You can load the Hallmark channels and get a code to watch on Roku since I am already paying for them with my monthly Directv monthly?
Thank you
