@RokuDanny-R Nevermind. I just saw the post by @Desrgu reporting their issue with the Roku Premier devices and realize you were responding to that person. What they are reporting is a greater problem than what has been posted in this thread that (so far) has been specific to Paramount+ live TV.
Have you found a solution to this problem? I first reported this on 5-19 and still cannot use the Paramount+ streaming channel for live news and other programs. I continue to reach out to them but have not made any progress with Paramount+
Hi @awhitley
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community!
Have you tried removing the channel then adding it back in? If not, we would recommend giving it a shot. Make sure to restart your Roku device before re-installing Paramount Plus to ensure the process is successful.
You can follow the step-by-step troubleshooting in this Support article: How do I resolve channel playback issues?
Let us know how it goes.
All the best,
Kariza
Hi,
Fortunately, the newest Roku Premier device that I bought works just fine. Cost me about $80. This is a bad reflection on Roku and Paramount+ since my old Roku 3 is now virtually useless for the Paramount+ app. It works for all other live streams just fine. They messed it up when they "upgraded" the app and they don't seem to be able to fix it. Sorry you're still having problems.
@jclmyers I ended up replacing my Roku3 with a Firestick. Interestingly...Paramount+ sent me a note the other day asking me to check some Roku audio settings and when I went to check it out over the weekend on my TV that still has a Roku 2, it no longer seems to exhibit the problem. I tested it over several programs and several different times of the day over the weekend and it is working fine. It exhibited the problem along with my Roku3 when this all started. I have no answer as to what may have happened.
It doesn't happen when using the ParamountPlus app from other devices...just my Roku Streaming Stick. So seems to me it is a Roku issue.
I had the same problem with CBS Live on Paramount Plus.
I have an older Roku stick. I went to the Menu on the left side of the screen. Clicked on "Settings." Went to "Display Type" settings. Changed it from 1080 to 720P. Now it plays fine. No video lag. If it is set to 1080, it lags. On 720 it doesn't.
That's it. Hope it works for you.
