Hi all,
I’ve been trying to stream YouTube Music on my Roku device, but I’ve been encountering some issues. Specifically, I’m experiencing difficulty in navigating through the music sections, and the selection of albums and tracks seems limited. I have the latest version of the YouTube app installed on my Roku, and I'm signed in, but the experience is not as smooth as I expected.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with streaming YouTube Music on Roku? If so, what solutions or workarounds have you found that can improve the experience?
Additionally, I’ve found a site that focuses on providing an enhanced version of YouTube Music through modded APKs, Youtube Music Premium APK, which offers ad-free streaming and more features. I was wondering if there are any ways to integrate or use it more effectively with Roku streaming devices.
Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated!

@monrokalen, Roku isn't Android - no support for APKs.
Yeah, YouTube Music on Roku can be a bit clunky. I’ve had better luck casting from my phone instead—it’s more responsive that way. Hopefully, Roku improves the app soon!
@whitneywirghtas It would be up to the owners of the Youtube Music app (which I think is Google) to update and improve the app on Roku. Roku has no control over the features and usability of 3rd party apps. I do agree though that the app needs improvement and I personally hate the loss of features that were in the google app after they merged.
Totally agree with you. It’s definitely on Google to improve the YouTube Music app on Roku. It’s frustrating when useful features disappear after an update or merger. Hoping they take user feedback seriously!
