We are still watching cable cuz i don't know how to use Roku. We usually watch a recording of the 7 AM local Fox and NBC news programs. If I switch to streaming Roku, is there a way to watch those newscasts at a later time? I'm not inclined to be ready at 7 AM!
If that station has an app, you could check if it has such a feature.
Otherwise, you'll probably want to look for a service that has a cloud DVR feature. YouTube TV, Sling, Fubo etc are examples of those. (Check before you sign up though - my information could be out-of-date.)
Rokus have no provisions for recording programs for later playback.
Some local broadcast stations have their own Roku apps that may provide delayed access to programming. Note that due to licensing restrictions, these generally can only display local programming, not network shows, so you likely get only local news and programming, not network news.
You can also subscribe to paid services you can stream to a Roku which provide local channels. Some of them have DVR functions that will permit recording and later playing back of programming.
