After begging Paramount plus for a month, I canceled them. All they kept saying was to unplug, disconnect and so on..over and over. Roku had me remove the channel and reinstall it. Roku suggested I use an alternate network, like I have access…..actually, I have two residences, so I do, have two separate wifi suppliers (Mediacom and ATT Uverse)and they both had the same issues on all my roku devices, which no two are the same. I am now paying a lot more money using Fubo since Hulu will not allow me to use their service at both houses.

I lost my live streaming all of May and now in June also. Paramount Plus has finally gotten back to me and they basically told me that they are in talks with roku and they can't fix it. Makes me wonder if they have no intention of fixing it, so I went to LoCast and for a donation of 5 dollars a month I can get all of my local channels. I will call pp and adjust my billings so that if reflects the correct amount. You know they won't just do it without being told.

Paramount messaged me and said they thought they had the problem solved. Sorry, but, I have not intention of subscribing to them with no guarantee. They didn’t even offer to refund the month I was without service, which I paid for. They should have offered me free service for three months after my experience with them. I had been a customer since cbs+ first began!!!

I have also been a customer from the very beginning. I am having the same problem and they finally told me that Roku and pp were in talks and that they couldn't fix it. So after 2 months and them charging me for a live channel that doesn't work which they can't fix or won't fix. Really bad customer service. Also, how do they add the live channel for the people just signing up? Is it just with Roku that it doesn't work? If that's the case maybe they need to find some better IT people to solve this problem. If I were to cancel my subscription and add it again with the live channel with my Roku, would I get the live channel at the more expensive price? Or are they just not able to do the live channel with the Roku at all? If that's the case they need to make that known so that people that use Roku are aware of this.

Live TV works for the vast majority of P+ subscribers (non-Essential plans) using the P+ app on Roku.

Many of the problems arise from those that subscribe through Roku/Roku Pay (instead of directly or elsewhere), and then cannot remove/restart/reinstall the P+ to fix issues with the app.

If you haven't already done the in-app local station check, do so:  Open P+/Profile/Menu/Settings/Live TV/Check Location.

Otherwise, as stated before, Paramount is entirely responsible for the functionality/behavior of the P+ app, and you'll need to continue with their support.

I noticed on their FB page that other people with other devices were having problems also. I mentioned it once when I was speaking to them (paramount,tech)on the phone and they said they were aware of the issues. Of course UTUbe is no longer available through roku , so maybe it is a contractual issue as well. They were so cheap, it might be a money issue.

Both YT and YT TV are available on Roku.

If you dont have/have access to the YT TV app, you can access YT TV through the YT app:  Open YT/Menu/YouTube TV (lower left of the UI).

After many discussions with Paramount+ and Roku it appears that this issue of Live Broadcast of our local CBS channel will not be solved.  I purchased a Firestick and replaced the Roku 3.  The local channel on Firestick is working just fine.  Sorry to leave Roku, which works great with the exception of Local Channel on Paramount+.  With the exception of the initial investment of the Firestick monthly costs remain the same.  I will probably put this advice on Amazon and any other source of the Roku and Paramount+ sites.
