Lately when I’m on the YouTube app on my Roku Express, my subscriptions will load however when I go to view channel it just doesn’t load. I’ve reset the Youtube app, I’ve restarted my Roku, and I’ve removed and added the YouTube app back onto my Roku all to no avail. I have no issues playing videos or viewing my history or viewing the recently added from those channels but I just can’t load the actual channels and their content. Any ideas I haven’t tried yet?
Thanks for the post.
Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more, specifically in that order.
Does this clear up the issue you are seeing?
Thanks,
Danny
Over the last few days, I've encountered precisely the same problem. Everything is working in YouTube's Roku app, until I click on "VISIT CHANNEL" while looking at a particular YouTube subscription screen... the YouTube-subscribed "VISIT CHANNEL" screen begins to load, but never actually populates the screen - so, no video thumbnails appear and the usual "View trailer" and "Subscribe/Subscribed" link also never appear. The screen displays only place-holders for where stuff ought to be. This occurs even after trying to uninstall/reinstall the YouTube app, resetting the App via the app's interface, and swapping to other YouTube accounts. See the screen shots below of the Subscription link's page and the defective VISIT CHANNEL screen...
As an experiment, I searched for an unsubscribed YouTube channel and "visited" the channel via a long-press of the OK button on the channel's icon - the channel appears, video thumbs intact and including the "Subscribe" option - I subscribed using that option and after doing so, when accessing the subscription channel via the "VISIT CHANNEL" option on the subscription's page, the same problem then occurred.
The failure to load occurs for every YouTube subscription, and for different YouTube user accounts... and, no such problem occurs on various mobile devices (phone, tablet) or on Roku Apps other than YouTube's. Since this has been only a recent problem for a couple days, I suspect a possible defective "update" of the YouTube app may have been responsible.

Result of clicking "VISIT CHANNEL"...
Hopefully, any others experiencing this issue will respond - and I'll hope this report provides sufficient information to possibly fix this serious (IMHO) problem.
Cheers!
That seems to have fixed it, however when I had reloaded the YouTube app and signed in the sign in page was a bit different so I wonder if YouTube released an update that inadvertently fixed it or if it was just coincidence. @Phosdick I would recommend trying this to see if it resolves it for you as well.
