Re: Auto play & missing endings

Jump to solution

How about when watching programs on the roku channel website?  Same thing happens there and it drives me crazy!

Oh, and on the Roku app on my phone.  I would like to turn this auto-skip feature off!  Thank you for any help.

Hi @DreamVelvet @Frostwolf,

Thank you for posting in the Roku Community!

We understand that you want to turn off Auto Play on the Roku channel, and we are more than willing to help.

Let's see if this will work for you.

Change the Auto-play video setting on your Roku streaming device:

  1. Press Home

    on your remote
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select Accessibility
  4. Select Auto-play video
  5. Choose On or Off
  6. If you select On, your Roku device will play some videos automatically while you are navigating on the screen
  7. If you select Off, videos will appear as images instead

For more details, please visit our Roku Support article: How to change the auto-play video setting on your Roku streaming device.

We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if the issue persists.

Cheers,
Riamie

@RokuRiamie-D Auto Play is set to OFF, has been off and will remain off, this suggestion keeps getting repeated and does not work for this issue. Roku Channel ignores the setting. For my issue, I have removed Roku Channel and it stops, at least until the Roku reinstalls Roku Channel without asking for PIN or anything.

No, @RokuRiamie-D, that works for the Roku stick, but my issue is wanting to turn off the auto-play when I view programming on the Roku app on my Android phone, or when I use the Roku channel website on my computer to watch a show.  I'm not always with my Roku stick when I'm watching things.  Thank you for any help!

They have to be bots.

@RokuRiamie-D this does not work, this does not fix the issue.
