Hi everyone,
Thanks for the posts.
If the issue remains unresolved, I'd recommend reaching out to History Channel directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the History channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.
You can reach them here: https://support.history.com/hc/en-us
Thanks,
Danny

Same problem. Every time I try to watch "LIVE" on the History Channel, it starts to load, and then just drops back to the main menu. If I repeat, it is circular - same result, over and over. I have tried everything to get it to load: delete the channel, restart my Roku and then re-add the channel. I have deleted my login credentials from the History Channel and then re-activated/signed back into the channel. I don't know what else to try. I just can't get "LIVE" to load and run.
Wow. I am always open to a good suggestion. I went to History Channel and looked around for technical support or customer support. Good luck to you with that. I searched the History site and finally found a place for support. I told them what was happening. Lets see how that works.
A&E Networks got back to me. Their developer is aware of the problem and is working on a fix.
I assume that the big holdup is the Christmas Holidays and people out and yada, yada, yada.
Also having the same issue here for at least three weeks now. I have tried everything everyone has suggested (reboot, sign out, uninstall, etc) with no change. I click on "Live TV," it looks like it's loading, then it's back to the main menu. Only happens with live tv on this app. Other things on the app work, and live works on other apps just fine.
I have the same issue... I would have to bet that it has something to do with the new Discovery+ channel/app they want you to pay another 4.99 a month or 6.99/ without adds. If that is true a lot of people will be saying goodbye to direct tv/dish and cable providers.
I'm not sure if this issue has been fixed yet, but had the same problem today. Clicked on Live TV but it doesn't even try to load for me, it just exits the app and kicks me out to the Roku home screen. Watching anything else on the app works fine. I'm logged in through my cable provider. Also tried logging out and then back in again, but didn't work. This isn't the first time it's happened. Before while streaming live TV, it would kick you out mid-stream. History seems to be notorious for these problems. They need to fix it once and for all!!
Have tried all the suggested , reload, reboot, tinfoil hat suggestions.. from ROKU.. naw.. the LIVE tab is missing from the NEWSMAX channel offerings.. with either of my roku's...
The only way to get NEWSMAX LIVE is thru the ROKU channel.. ??? humm does that enhance (read monatarize) the VALUE of the ROKU channel ???
Interesting to see the finger pointing
DEFINITELY! Every time advertisements come up, I lose the image, but can hear voice. First, signed out and back in, re-verifying my provider. Than, I refreshed the channel, then uninstalled/reinstalled it. When that didn’t work, I checked all of my Roku connections and refreshed and reset the entire system. this seemed to have worked for a few minutes, but now has started agin…just after the advertisements played.
at this point, I’m ready to cancel the entire channel.
Hey @Wryterz
Thanks for the post.
Does the issue only occur on a specific channel or across other channels installed on your Roku? Did you restart your device before re-installing the channel? That step is crucial when performing the troubleshooting. If you haven't tried the suggested order (remove > restart > re-install), we would recommend giving it a shot once again. We also suggest doing the restart from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > System restart > Restart.
Please keep us updated!
All the best,
Kariza
