Hallmark Movies Now app vs Roku Channel

Jump to solution

I have an account with HMNow (Hallmark Movies Now) and can use their Roku app to watch.  But Roku search does not include the HMNow app but instead includes HMNow on the Roku Channel.

There does not seem to be a way to login via my HMNow username/password on the Roku Channels app.

I do not want to pay twice for Hallmark Movies Now and I do not want to just watch via the Roku Channels app since I also use the HMNow app on my tablet.

Any suggestions?

Answering my own question.   I can just use Hallmark Movies Now on the Roku Channel for both my Roku and tablet (via the Roku app). I just had to cancel my account for Hallmark Movies Now (https://www.hmnow.com/) and start a Hallmark Movies Now subscription via the Roku Channels app on my Roku (cannot do it via the Roku app on my tablet).

@Chawley

You should have been able to find the stand-alone Hallmark Movies Now Channel/app from using either the Search or the Streaming Channels Seach from the Roku home page.  (search for Hallmark).  Also shows available in the Roku Channel Store. (again, searched for Hallmark) (https://channelstore.roku.com/details/f51ec27fd29492c1fa58fe9afd7a73e9/hallmark-movies-now)

However, many users find that the stand-alone Hallmark Movie Now Channel/app experiences some login issues over time and Hallmark Support not very quick to address.

I think you made better choice by using Hallmark on the Roku Channel.  This is the way I have subscribed in the past.
