I have a Roku Stick, 3500X, running 9.4 software.
I am trying to use HBO Max and it continually freezes and returns me to the home screen.
I am paying 14.99 a month for this service. If it is not going to work with Roku, then I will go and use another streaming device. This is very frustrating as I have not had any issues with my Roku up until trying to use this service.
Please help.
First of all, Roku is not a service. It's just a little computer that runs apps. There's no way to get a new channel/app on an old device just as your DOS computer won't run Windows apps. If you have the 3500, I'm sorry, but it's obsolete just like that flip-phone you may have lying around.
It almost 6 weeks after you posted with the same problem I’m having and no one has replied with a solution. Roku “support” is non-existent. I’ll have to switch to another service. Please let me know if you’ve found a service you’d recommend.

When referencing “a service” in my post, I did not mean Roku, I meant the HBO max service that I am paying 1499 for.
1. The Roku faq’s say that my Roku stick is capable of running HBO Max, so that is not a problem.
2. I’m a bit too young to know about DOS and flipphones #showingyourage
