I have never had an issue streaming Global TV, but in the last few weeks it’s suddenly pixelated. All other channels are fine. Even the commercial leading into the show is fine and then as soon as the show starts I get a screen of pixels. If I let it continue to run, the commercials come in clearly. Happens on all Global TV shows.
Hello @Crums
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.
In some cases, removing the channel and then re-installing it may help. To ensure the process is successful, follow the steps below making sure you restart your Roku device before adding the channel again.
If the issue persists from one channel after attempting the suggestions above, videos from other channels play fine, contact the channel provider's customer support team to report the issue and get help.
Channels on Roku are maintained by the channel developer themselves. In this case, there's likely an issue within that specific channel that needs to be addressed with an update from the channel developer.
All the best,
Kariza
I have been experiencing the same issue with Global TV app on my 4620x and 4630x. Fortunately I also had a 3920ca in another room and it works with the app.
I would guess it is hardware related on your end as well.
I know that doesn’t solve your problem but at least it is an answer.
I appreciate your response. We have a different Roku device and the Global channel is fine on that one. I assume it’s a hardware issue.
Appreciate the reply.
Have you tried performing the troubleshooting steps I provided above to see if that will make a difference?
All the best,
Kariza
Yes, I uninstalled and reinstalled the channel. No change, so likely a hardware issue as it works on our second Roku device (different model).
Thanks for the post.
When removing a channel, have you made sure to restart your device before adding the channel back, specifically in that order? If you are still seeing the issue, and it is only occurring on that channel, it is likely an indication that there is an issue with the channel itself that the channel provider may need to investigate further.
Please keep us posted.
Thanks,
Danny
That solution did not work for me. I am with rogers.
Thanks for the post.
If this is the only channel that you are experiencing this issue, there may be an issue that the channel provider will need to investigate further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.
Thanks,
Danny
