Channels & viewing

While watching a YouTube video on my Roku TV, I hit pause, walk away and come back to find the TV has gone into screen saver mode. If I hit the play button on my remote something bizarre happens. It tries to install some random channel and I'm unable to resume my video.

This doesn't happen if I hit the back button first then hit the play button.

This happens repeatedly.

Thanks for the post.

Instead of pressing the Play button on the remote when unpausing, have you tried pressing the OK button to see if the same issue occurs? 

Please keep us posted what you find out and we will be able to assist you further.

When you are using one of the scrolling Roku screen savers that contain links to various channels, pressing PLAY will launch the channel currently shown on the screen saver.  If that channel is not already installed to your Roku, the channel will then install.

Solutions: 

• Don't press PLAY to exit the screen saver.
• Use a different screen saver that doesn't advertise channels.
