Same thing started happening to me a few weeks ago. I did the typical uninstall, reinstall and restarts. Seems AWFUL coincidental this is happening now when social media is being outted with bias censorship?! Is roku now doing this? No issues with CBS, ABC news 🤔
Danny,
I'm responding to several of your posts to other users encountering the same issue...this is becoming prevalent, starting about 2 weeks ago. Fox News hasn't updated its build (so no change) and despite an uninstall, restart, reinstall, same issue. In addition, i'm able to run the fox news app directly on my samsung smart tv flawlessly (better than roku)...soooo....obviously its a roku platform issue in some manner, HOPEFULLY UNINTENTIONAL.

The FoxNews channel/app did in fact update on Monday (4 days ago) to 3.12.73120201420, however, some issues have persisted for some users, despite uninstalling/reinstalling.
You might also check your RokuOS version (9.3.0 Build 4194 is the most recent release version) and manually update if you havent already...
Beyond that its best to direct issues/bug reports directly to FoxNews (since they maintain their app):

Yeah, it started prior to that last build (still 3.12), so again thats irrelevant and as i pointed out, the fox app on a smart tv works just fine, soooooo.......Seems like all you do is redirect to providers vs ANY introspection or investigation of the Roku platform? Just like an OS (or any midddleware) there can be defects/incompatibilities that come up..because..gues what, Roku has updates too.

Yes, "it" did indeed start prior to the last build (issued 4 days ago that you insisted didn't happen), and which did address different issues for many - though it hasn't for you.
I don't work for Roku or FoxNews - I'm a customer just as you are, simply providing information/knowledge/assistance.
FoxNews and all app ("channel") providers maintain their app - not Roku - ergo it makes sense to address the app issues first and foremost with the app provider - FoxNews in this case - though you seem reluctant to do so for whatever reason.
And yes, there can be/are incompatibilities that come up with OS/app updates - hence why you should verify your OS/app versions/builds, and update if necessary, and then report issues to the relevant software vendor.
For unknown reasons, Fox News audio came back and started working properly. Then my trial period ended. Went out and bought 6 more Roku’s, cancelled Comcast tv. Upgraded from 200 mbps to 1 Gig. Using Comcast XB7 Gateway. Took several days to figure it all out. Signed up for Youhtube Tv, Watching Fox News again.
This has happened twice on my TV in which I use Roku. The other TVs with Xfinity are fine... so far. Interesting it happened during the Republican convention-not during the time the other channels were airing the speakers. Just when Fox news commentators are discussing things. [post edited]
It’s the only channel on roku that’s messed up. [post edited]
I agree, It's Roku doing it, not FOX. Roku tried to remove FOX from Roku just last year. They had so many threatening to cancel, they backed off. Now they're just making it impossible to watch!
