Thank you for posting your experience. I've been suffering through the same issue and am about done with it.
Uggh, this is so frustrating!
Hi @seaaggie,
We appreciate your patience regarding this matter. I understand that you are inquiring about frequent re-authentication of the FOX News channel.
If you are still having an issue with the channel, you'll want to contact Fox News support directly to inquire further. Shared logins sometimes trigger the partners to send frequent authorizations. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.

I have contacted Fox News and got a basic "thank you for contacting us" reply. As of now, I am using my firestick on that TV. My other and newer ROKU TV which I just started watching again, doesn't seem to have the problem. It could be the older model and firmware. For now, I am good. Thanks for your comment.
It used to be 2-3 weeks, now I have to log in every night, I am about ready to hook up my Dish Fox is the worst station for it . Roku shows Spectrum when I am locked out on the screen, I have Dish Network They need to get it together. I have rebooted ran it on another TV same problem
Hello @belize91
Thanks for the post.
Please be advised that channels on Roku are maintained by the channel developer themselves. If the issue only occurs on one channel while logins from other channels are fine, contact the channel provider's customer support team to report the issue and get help. There's likely an issue within that specific channel that needs to be addressed with an update from the channel developer.

All the best,

The Fox News app has not always required daily re-registering. Since Roku gets royalties from Fox you would think that they would be as interested as the viewers in helping solve the problem.
Royalties how? Do you mean via subscriptions? There is no Fox News subscription via Roku. One can subscribe through Roku to some live streaming service that carries Fox News, but that's from whichever live streaming service, not Fox. Can you explain what you mean?

The nice thing about streaming is that the source provider has viewer feedback (eyes on the prize) that satellite and cable can't always provide. You may have noticed when you are watching Fox News that the commercials are localized and national and at times there is dead-air when the broadcast version is in commercial breaks. Now what if Roku did not allow the Fox News app on their platform. Fox News would loose eyes and the ad dollars would dwindle. So, there is revenue sharing between the platforms that have Fox News apps and the money that Fox News receives from their advertisers. I don't pretend to know what that algorithm might be only that its a revenue stream for both Roku and Fox News. Some source apps even allow Roku to insert its own ads or PSAs which compensate Roku for allowing the app on their platform.
Same issue . . . We have recently “cut the cord” to cable. I contacted Fox News and they affirm that no “software” on their platform will create the issue described. Further, they said it is on the Roku side. Simple test revealed suspected truth that Roku is the culprit. We have Apple TV and Firestick installed on other home TV. Absolutely NO problems on the non Roku TV. Also interesting, I have no other channel issues on Roku except Fox News. Unscientific test but results speak for themselves . . . Roku conspires to eliminate Fox News viewership.
