Recently my Fox News Channel frequently requires sign in again. It's a pain! Any one else have the same problem and if so, did you find a solution to it?
Hi @tlcjanson,
Thanks for the post.
For more information about that channel's authentication and functionality, you'll want to contact FOX News support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.
You can reach Fox News support here: https://help.foxnews.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Thanks,
Mary
Well, I solved the Fox News problem ... The **bleep** with it !!! I just went to Pluto TV which is free with HD and perfect streaming and I found all the conservative news I can possibly need : NewsMax, One America News (that , btw, it requires subscription elsewhere but can be watched here for free) , Blaze News, etc , so I am done with Fox News .
Kudos to Pluto TV , for sure , lol...
Be aware that the issue you ran into with Fox News is one you could encounter with other apps. When you have an app that needs authentication against a carrier (cable, satellite, streaming service) there will occasionally need to be a re-authentication. This is because you're only entitled to use the app is you have a corresponding service. There are many services that are this way; the Roku app is a supplement to the service. Some require re-authentication as often as once a month.
Sometimes, things go wrong, and you have to re-authenticate more than expected. This could be for legit reasons, such as the account used at multiple locations (account sharing, which is often a violation of terms of service).
Sometimes its a screw-up. It could be the service making the error, or it could be something wrong with the app itself.
If it's the latter, the best option is to remove the app, reboot the Roku, then reinstall the app.
Your solution to find something else that suits your viewing habits is something many people fail to pursue. There's a lot of content out there, and for free, if people will only take the time to look for it. You found what you were after.
Just keep in mind the steps listed here in case you run into something similar on an app for which you can't easily find an alternative.

I have the same problem and removed/reinstalled the app and can't get pass the TOS screen. I have a cable subscription for authorization.
The app update is 3/25. Surely that isn't the problem. I hope there isn't someone in the ROKU org playing games with Foxnews!

If you didnt RESTART your device between removal & reinstall, it wont clear cached data:
1) Remove 2) Restart 3) Reinstall.
Its not the date of the app update that matters, but the version of the app: 3.18.323211232 is the current version of the FoxNews app (which is working without any current significant issues on my 7 Roku devices).
FWIW - the FoxNews app/service is poorly coded and often problematic (I watch via other apps)
And while it is true that Roku board members and company employees are nearly universally liberal/progressive (~95% of their political donations are to liberal/progressive/democrat orgs), there is no evidence of any mischief/shenanigans or other behavior towards the FoxNews app/service - its just poorly coded/managed.
I just removed, restarted and re-installed and will update this thread with the results. I have been experiencing daily loss of sign-in.
Stand by for update.
I removed the app, restarted the app and registered again. It lasted 3 days this time, so I reset the authorization and it only lasted one day. I just removed, added and registered again. This is my last effort.
I'll be moving my Firestick to this TV and getting two more for my other ROKU TVs. Probably the last ROKU TV I buy. I currently have 3 ROKU TVs
After several attempts to remove the app, restart Roku, re-install Fox News app, I still continually have to re-register to see live feed. The longest was 3 days.
Time to get another Firestick! I'm done.

Try Amazon.com. They have several models to choose.
