The ESPN On-Demand upload for the Penn State v Indiana game is not working on Roku.  It starts to play and 2 min in it gives a connection error.  The game is showing as being 1hr 29 min long when it is much longer than that.  I'm able to watch on-demand on an Android device with the ESPN Watch app with no problem.

For more information about that channel's features and functionality, you'll want to contact ESPN support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.
