So, I use Roku for my DirecTV Stream. I have the box that AT&T sent me, but I like the Roku stick better for using DirecTV Stream. Last few weeks, something changed. Often during commercials, I'm thrown back to the main screen. When I go back to DirecTV Stream, it then shows a message saying something like "commercial break. show will continue soon." It's weird that the actual commercials show before it crashes, but after it crashes and I go back, I just get a message stating it's a commercial break.
BTW, I already uninstalled/reinstalled the app
So, we have two of the exact same Roku players that I use DirecTV stream on. The second TV I don't watch nearly as often. Well, I've been watching the 2nd TV all day today. Not once has it crashed back to the main screen when a commercial is on. So, it's almost like the one is defective...
When problems are confined to a particular channel, it may be that the channel didn't install properly, that it didn't update correctly, or that the installation has otherwise gotten corrupted. A reinstall may fix the problem, so give it a try on the Roku with the problem.
Remove/reinstall procedure:
If the problem persists at this point, it typically means the current version of the channel app has a problem that must be addressed by the channel itself as they are the ones that create the Roku-compatible version of their app and provide it to Roku.

I am having the exact same issue. Started today.
Also - for what it’s worth - it seems to happen specifically if I’m watching FXX. Doesn’t happen on other channels.
