What subscription are  you talking about? There is no subscription to use Roku, although you can subscribe to services through Roku billing. So, what to subscription are you referring?

Ha. Great point!

I'm new to Roku.

I suppose it's not a subscription that would end, just a user would have to give up service.

Thanks for clarification!

Re: Continue airing NewsMax, OANN & Fox News Channel

Be aware that Roku doesn't make apps for those services or for most services. The services generally make their own apps (perhaps through a contractor). Those three make their own apps. Some, such as Fox News Channel, are also available as part of another service, such as Sling TV, YouTube TV, etc. If they were dropped from that, it would be the specific service that dropped them, not Roku.

Roku would have no incentive to drop any app that made them money. For example, you can subscribe to OAN via Roku, and Roku gets a cut of the subscription. That's money in their pocket. And while NewsMax isn't a subscription service, an app has been available for Roku for years.

It's extremely unlikely any of these are going anywhere, and even more unlikely that Roku would drop the apps.

You all can continue watching. I am getting rid of ALL my ROKU's and moving to Firesticks. Will never use ROKU again. They can provide apps for these "news" stations, but as a result ROKU doesn't need my financial support now or in the future.

I’m glad to hear that Roku will not be dropping those particular “apps.” It is causing me to keep Roku and send my DIRECTV packing.
