Constantly launching Vudu

my Roku tries to load the vudu app every minute while trying to watch something. I have no Vudu app on my Roku and no vudu button on my remote. I have tried a factory reset and the problem is persisting.

Re: Constantly launching Vudu

Does it happen if you remove the batteries from the remote?

Yes, I tried removing the batteries from the Roku remote and the issue continued to happen.

Change the screen saver and wallpaper to roku defaults and turn off seasonal wallpaper.

@Joncrowl-

These things are just special purpose computers, and just like their big brothers, sometimes operational problems cans be solved by a system restart.

From the Roku home screen use menu path Settings > System > System restart.  (On a Roku TV the menu path is Settings > System > Power > System restart.)

If you prefer, or if the problem you're having doesn't let you control the Roku via the remote, you can restart by pulling the power plug for 30 seconds or so then plugging back in.

Thanks. I have tried a system result several times, as well as a factory reset—and still the same issue.

I've seen a few similar reports, but you've already eliminated the only causes I can think of.

Bringing this to the attention of Roku employees @RokuDanny-R & @RokuKariza-D .

Re: Constantly launching Vudu

Is this a stick, an actual Roku TV, or a little box connected with an HDMI cable?  If it's anything but a stick stray IR sources (like bright sunlight or another remote) could cause it.  Assuming it's a little box, if you cover the front of it or put a cardboard box over it does it still happen?  It's also possible that someone connected to your network is using the app as a remote and messing with you.

Just trying to cover all the bases...
