I am having same issue. I mistakenly uninstalled The Roku Channel and all of my tiles disappeared. I know how to add a channel when the system is working but this was a mistake and after a week + of research I haven't seen any helpful suggestions. The instructions I see are Go to your home page and add a channel. I am in the US. I'm using a Roku express. Please Roku, I need help!

Go big, then.
First, remove the device from your account. Go to https://my.roku.com/ and log in. Scroll down all the way to the bottom and Unlink that device from your account.
Then, do a factory reset. While plugged in, press and hold the reset button for no less than 30 seconds. That's critical.
You will now be in a brand new setup situation. The Roku should be as it came out the box. Go through the initial setup process.
Let me know what happens.

For those living in Germany: today, out of curiosity, after 2 months, I switched on my device and I could see that it updated to the latest software version (10.0.0).
Now the channels (even ways more channels than before) are back!!!
I hope this can help those who still didn't trash their devices in the bin...
Too late, I already got myself a PlayStation4 as a replacement
