I’m watching “Dead of Night” ca. 1945 on BFI Player for Roku, and the captions are so far out of sync they are useless.

They’re off at least two to three sentences, for lack of a better measurement.

i need captions when watching television, and I watch a lot of BFI. I’ve  not had this problem with any other selection.

edited to add: I did see on some of the other posts regarding captioning issues, a recommendation to restart the Roku to fix the problem. I did try that multiple times, and it did not fix the syncing error.

This channel looks like a small operation by one person.  I would suggest reaching out to BFI customer support at the email listed on their page, which is paul.lewis@bfi.org.uk

You could also try a system restart of your device as well and see if that helps.
