The Search function on the Roku home screen menu is available in the following countries:

In English:
  Canada
  Ireland
  United Kingdom
  United States

In Spanish:
  Mexico
  United States

Source document: https://support.roku.com/article/208756398

Where it is available, search works for those streaming services that submit information about their programming to Roku. Accuracy and maintenance of the data is the responsibility of the channel providers.

Roku lists services providing this information on this page: https://support.roku.com/article/235044948 (at this writing it hasn't been updated since 22 May 2022).

I do most of my channel searching at roku.com in the channel store.  Then I just click there to install. I have searched on the device as well but I prefer the channel store in most cases.

Oh, apparently searching only works in certain regions (I don't know why.)  I'm in the US where it does work.

Thank Strega for the response, I did the same and installed Amazon Prime from roku.com, but it doesn't appeared on my Roku Home Screen. Looks like, in my Region (Dubai / UAE) Amazon Prime is not available on Roku, although I can see Amazon Prime FYC is available. Similarly, Roku Mobile app is not available in my region. I think, I had bought the wrong product

Interestingly, this list does NOT include Paramount+, Peacock, Disney+, Philo, Frndly, Prime Video, Apple TV+, and probably others.  But all of those I mentioned have been around since before 5/2/22.
