I decided to try Sling this morning on my 2018 Roku Ultra (device that was having the issue) and it worked! Thank you, Roku devs and Customer Service agents, for listening to our complaints and working to provide a solution. I know it has to be difficult to keep updates working on all devices with zero bugs or hiccups. Hopefully it is a permanent solution--if not, I'm sure we'll let you know.
They are rolling back the Roku update, just went to check for updates and its updating to 10.0.0 from 10.5.0. Now Sling works.

My experience is somewhat different:
Roku Express 4K+:
Checked for updates, still Roku @ v10.5 build 4201
Sling app however is now v8.11 build 1669 (updated from previous posts)
Roku3:
same as above...
Sling app now works for apparently all feeds on both units. Seems to indicate Sling finally pulled head from ass and got things solved. Too late, I'm already on Hulu. Perhaps I'll re-assess later on if this seems to be solved long term.
Interesting that some units seem to be rolling back the Roku update while mine are not. Hmmm...
Mine is Roku Ultra 4670RW, rolled back to 10.0.0 build 4209-46. I have Sling til the 29th, then paused for 3 months. So far other than CNN live, I'm not missing it. Still trying out other options. We have an Antenna and a Tablo for local. And the Disney+ bundle with Hulu free for a year with Verizon so other than CNN I won't be missing Sling.
