Can't add amazon prime on a Roku streaming stick +

Hello,

I recently purchased a roku streaming stick+ and can't add amazon prime. I tried through going to streaming channels, movies and TV channel list and did doesn't appear. I was able to find it on-line on the roku website channel store link but it won't install. I can't access a search option using my remote. Please help.

Thank you,

Deva

Re: Can't add amazon prime on a Roku streaming stick +

Hi @Grace333

Thanks for the post.

If you are using a Roku account that wasn't originated in the region in which you are using your device, you may encounter issues downloading a channel. i.e. If you are using a device linked to a US Roku account, in Canada or another region.

Could you tell us what region you are located in at the moment? We'd like to know more about how we can help.

All the best,
Kariza

Where are you located?

The Amazon Prime channel is not available on Roku in all countries, even if it is available on other platforms. Amazon determines which countries its Roku channel will be offered, usually having to do with rights to the content.

Re: Can't add amazon prime on a Roku streaming stick +

I currently live in the US and believe I have a U.S account. Would a restart or re linking the remote/reactivating account be a potential solution? If so, how do I re-link the account to make sure both are linked with the US?

Thank you,

Grace333

@Grace333

Appreciate the response.

To resolve your issue, we would recommend creating a new Roku account. Since you're in the US, the account's region will automatically be set in the US as well. If you don't have any extra email address and you want to use the same email you are using at the moment, you can deactivate your existing Roku account then create a new one using the same credentials.

If you need help with the suggestions above, you can visit these links:

I hope this helps!

All the best,
