Can't access previously watched episodes of a ROKU series

We've been streaming the ROKU series @Luther  on our TV. We finished Season 3, Episodes 1-2 but then somehow skipped to Episode 4. We want to go back to Episode 3 but the EPISODES button only lets us go forward to Season 4. I can access all the episodes on my computer but not on the TV. Is this a restriction set by ROKU? If not, how can we go back to previously watched episodes on the TV

It would probably help to say what channel/app this is.  None of the channels that I use on Roku have this "feature", but there are thousands of channels and I only use a few.

It's a BBC series but is on the Roku channel itself.

I just tried again to watch the episode on my computer. Yesterday it started playing immediately. Today they are requiring a subscription to BritBox.  But that option wasn't offered on the TV yesterday. Maybe it will be today. What a difference a day makes!
